[SOLVED] Update of KB2918614 and KB291580 keep failing

I ran their "update preparation" thingy already twice, and a fix tool from micrsoft that reported to have fixed stuff, but didn't (running it twice produces same "i fixed this" messages)

Eventually I ran SFCFix

Sorry that you didn't get a response to your query and it had to result in a reinstall. We are very flat out here answering Windows Update threads.
