These aren't Windows 8 apps, they're just normal desktop apps?

Is this a business machine - do you have an IT department?

windows.immersivecontrolpanel
Err... this is the Settings app in Windows, you can't remove this

Actually, apparently F5 Secure VPN, SonicWall mobile connect and Junos Pule are available on the Windows store (didn't know this - I've only ever used the Win32 versions of those programs at work). However, you can just uninstall them like you would any other UWP app - right click, uninstall.

Checkpoint VPN is definitely a normal Win32 app though.

My point about the immersivecontrolpanel is still true though.

Hi,
Thanks to answer but if you run Get-AppxPackage in Powershell you get a list of appxs in your system. Using Remove-AppxPackage you can uninstall all except the list I asked for. Windows X App Remover doesnt remove the list. the reason is that we are hardening the system and we don't need the store and vpn plugins.
Best Regards.

I'm not quite sure I understand your scenario.

I understand locking down systems (done that before for work), but why do you have those VPN apps in the first place in your image? They're not included in Windows 8 by default. If you're locking down, why don't you start from a clean image?

Store and settings app can be locked down by GPOs if you're in a domain environment.

If you run Get-AppxPackage in PowerShell you can ser that these applications are included by default in Windows 8.1.

I don't see how removing any of those will help performance or saving of disk space in any significant want. I would recommend leaving them.

But suspecting that advice will not be heeded, see this and note that some apps just cannot be uninstalled.

I sure hope you made a viable backup of everything before you started this venture.

Uninstall PowerShell 4.0

Does anybody know how to uninstall PoweShell 4.0 in Windows 8.1? It is built-in in the system.

Thanks in advance.

Edit add - moved to existing thread on moving integrated apps.

Err, no, checkpoint VPN, F5 VPN, JunosPulse VPN and Sonicall VPN aren't included in a normal clean install of Windows 8.1. Why would Microsoft bundle apps from Checkpoint, Juniper and Dell in their clean install. What version of 8.1 is this (Home, Pro, Enterprise)? Where did you get your ISO from?

And again, you can't remove the store or settings app. If you want to block access to them, GPOs are the way to go providing you're in a domain environment.

This was posted as a new thread. I have moved it into this thread. Please don't start new threads for related topics.

Well then, please accept my sincere apologies - I stand corrected!

I installed a clean version of Windows 8.1 myself, and ran the powershell command. Low and behold:

Once again, please accept my apologies!

So, what can you do about these? Not much I'm afraid - but I don't see any reason you'd need to remove them. Firstly, my point on the Windows Store and Settings app still is valid, since you can't uninstall these. Pretty sure that's the same for the camera. Apart from GPOs as mentioned, I don't think there's a way to remove those.

From some digging around, the VPN programs can only be run inside a container package, which would be a Windows store app. You can't just run the exe from the install path. They're not user-accessible and runnable programs from what I can see. From what I can tell, they're integrated into the OS as VPN drivers to allow connections to SonicWALL, F5, Juniper and Checkpoint VPN appliences from Windows. I'm not sure why you'd want to remove them really since I don't see what problem they're causing.

SonicWall Mobile Connect for Windows 8.1 is a VPN plug-in that is distributed by Microsoft as part of Windows 8.1.
