UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION and CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED on hourly basis

Hello friends,

I bought a new laptop about two months ago. Ever since I have started using it (which was about two weeks after I bought it), BSODs started to occur. The system had pre-installed Windows 10. In the beginning I got a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION around every day, but after a while the crashes became more and more frequent. Later they came about every half an hour or so. I contacted DELL but they told me that they cannot help me if it is not a hardware issue. I went on and tried every possible hardware check and everything seemed fine, so they more or less told me to go **** myself. The only thing that they could do is to take my laptop for two weeks and make sure that it really is a hardware issue, not a software one. They, besides that, recommended only to re-install the system.

I tried every solution that I had found on the internet (basic stuff such as sfc /scannow, updates of all drivers) and because nothing worked, I re-installed the system - first with a fresh install from the DELL site, after that (because this re-install did not work), I downloaded the files straight from Microsoft. I have an SSD CX2-8B256-Q11 NVMe LITEON 256GB and when I tried to do a clean install of the system, the installer couldn't find my SSD, which is why I wiped it and switched it from RAID ON to AHCI mode in BIOS. It suddenly appeared and I installed the system, suddenly, however, I started getting two other BSODs - CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED and UNEXPECTED_STORAGE_EXCEPTION.

Again, I tried every solution I found on the internet - I deleted Intel Mass Storage Controller, I tried everything I could find and nothing, yet again, worked. Also whenever I got a BSOD, the system restarted and DELL SupportAssist came instead of a normal boot saying Hard Drive Not Installed. Because of that I thought I ****ed up when I switched from RAID ON to AHCI. Did another re-install, this time with RAID ON mode set on and started getting DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION BSODs. Then again I found on the internet that the problem is in the mode set in BIOS, so I switched from RAID ON to AHCI (this time I only installed drivers in Safe Mode, didn't want to do another re-install) and I, again, started getting UNEXPECTED_STORAGE_EXCEPTION and CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED with Hard Drive Not Installed screens right after these BSODs. I don't think the hard drive is malfunctional - every test I tried was without any problem...

What I also don't understand, the system isn't creating any dump files, even though I have it set up exactly as is recommended on every site. This might be a problem when looking for a solution, but I tried to include sysnative file anyway.

Is there anyone who could help me with finding a solution for my problem? I am by no means an expert and I am getting quite desperate, because the laptop cost me a lot of money and I am only a student who needed it for architectural programs (that is why I went for a relatively high-end laptop). Thank you so much.

System information:

· OS - Windows 10
· x64
· What was originally installed OS on system? Windows 10
· Is the OS an OEM version (came pre-installed on system) or full retail version (YOU purchased it from retailer)? Pre-installed with crashes, which is why I wiped the system and did a clean install - crashes continue to occur on hourly basis.
· Age of system (hardware) - the laptop was bought less than two months ago
· Age of OS installation - have you re-installed the OS? 3 times reinstalled, the current reinstall is of about 5 days

· CPU - Intel Core i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz (8.00 GB RAM)
· Video Card - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050

· System Manufacturer - DELL
· Exact model number (if laptop, check label on bottom) XPS 15 (9560)

· Laptop or Desktop? Laptop

Thank you so much for any help at all,

Eric

Hello and welcome to Sysnative!
Seeing as you've already reinstalled the system and the problem didn't seem to go away, I'd say you're looking at an uknown hardware failure. Please begin with initial hardware diagnostics:

Initial Hardware Diagnostics

A piece of advice:
As the laptop was bought less than two months ago, it is still under warranty and you should get it serviced if you're having problems with it, and you clearly are.
