Greetings!

As Windows 7 support has ended ages ago, and more of my softwares are now pushing me to at least upgrade to Windows 10, I've had to go through many setbacks to get to the current point where only one problem seems to remain and prevent me from getting the upgrade.

I initially tried to upgrade to Win10 already back in January 2023. At that time I finally got myself an SSD and moved my Win7 to it from a dying HDD. Everything went fine with that, but Win10 upgrade ended up being a problem. Even after multiple attempts to upgrade via the Media Creation Tool 22H2, I kept (and still keep) getting error during the installation and get forced back to Win7. The error:

We couldn't install windows 10

We've set your PC back to the way it was right before you started installing Windows 10.
0x8007001F - 0x20006
The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during REPLICATE_OC operation.

I just accepted that my hardware is too old (custom PC, built in September 2015), and moved on. The frustration was real and I didn't want to do anything haphazardly, even though I knew that my hardware actually supports Win10 despite the age (included a screenshot of Speccy if someone doubts this).

Now over a year later, still stuck with the same hardware due to financial reasons, I've been trying to dig into this matter again and force my way through to Win10. I learned of the existence of SURT, which helped to fix a bunch of issues right away. While it could fix or at least help identify problems that I could then fix myself, there is one dreaded issue I can't fix and it's related to KB3008923 (or I assume so):

After quick googling I learned that KB3008923 was a terrible update, so I'm not surprised how I couldn't find it from my updates list. But now I'm wondering why does it keep ghosting like this, and didn't any of the updates that I've installed through years fix or replace it? I even downloaded the update from the Windows Update archive site, but I can't install it due to error 0x800b0101. I haven't got such error with the other updates I've had to install these past two days. I found someone else had similar problem years ago, but I didn't attempt their fixes. Any way around this problem, so I can just finally get to install Win10 successfully?

I've run SURT and SFC Scan multiple times, which both give the error(s) seen in the logs in the zip file. ComponentsScanner gave "none" to all other sections but "no possible repairs" to repair log section.

SURT also doesn't give any errors anymore (log included as an attachment).

I assume this is a green light for Windows 10 installation, so I will go ahead and attempt upgrading again. I will report back if it was successful, but otherwise I'm giving a big thanks in advance (and will also make a donation in about a week).
