After many attempts I still get the 80070422 error code when attempting to update Windows 7. This is a new install after a catastrophic hdd failure. All HP specific drivers were obtained from HP support. I have been successful in downloading MSIE but have since uninstalled it in an attempt to troubleshoot the windows update issue. Have tried sfc scan as well as chkdsk to no avail. Laptop is an HP Pavilion dv6-1245dx with an Intel core duo, 4gb ddr2 ram and a 500gb hdd. The CBS log is attached and any help you can provide will certainly be appreciated.:huh:
