Hello,

I am trying to update my home PC to Windows 11 but have been facing a myriad of issues (secure boot disabled, legacy bios etc., MBR to GPT drive conversion) and now am facing issues with Windows update. I've tracked this down to a corrupt registry and am stuck now so am posting here for help! Would appreciate any help at all with the issues I am seeing as it seems to be more complex than I originally thought...

I have seen error code 0x800703f1 amongst others when trying to update from Windows Update screen in settings.

My Windows version is Windows 10 Pro 10.0.19041 Build 19041

I haven't been able to update past this version.

I've followed the instructions in the Posting Instructions thread as best as I can, please let me know if anything else is needed! Thank you so much

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

Run
61f7aba7309a1-ComponentsScanner_Icon.png
ComponentsScanner again.
  • Right-click ComponentsScanner.exe and select "Run as administrator", click Yes on the UAC (User Account Control) prompt which appears.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Once complete, a report will be saved to your desktop called ComponentsScanner.txt.
  • Post the logfile ComponentsScanner.txt as attachment into your next reply.
