[SOLVED] Unable to Update to Win10 1903.

Hey Guys,

Im having major issues with updating to 1903. I am currently on 1703. I tried the SFCFix from the Windows Update Forum Instructions and SFCFix crashed. I have attached the log file for the SFCFix.exe below. I did send the crash log to the dev.

I have uploaded the CBS logs at: CBS.zip

I have previously tried the Windows Media Creation Tool as well which did not work.

I tried the Windows 10 Update Assistant which was updating to 1903 which failed.

I used the Windows Update feature in settings which failed. This Windows Update Feature was trying to update to 1803. The usual error code I receive is 0x800700c1. I have tried updating a total of 31 times (should have stopped after 2 but hopes.).

SFCFix Script

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.

1. Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
2. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
3. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
4. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
5. SFCFix will now process the script.
6. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
7. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put </> tags around the log to break up the text.

hey Bruce,

Not sure what kind of magic you did but my system updated to 1803 after I restarted and then I ran windows Update Assistant which upgraded it to 1903.
