I am unable to restart, or start after any shutdown whether in regular or safe mode, or booting from CD.
BSOD error message is the "driver irql not less or equal". I receive the "Windows has recovered" window, and once subsequently up and going do not have any issues as long as I leave well enough alone and do not shut down (sleep and wake is normal) Attempting to use repair CD is a fail - "cannot be repaired".
Several days ago I picked up the trojan Win32/Tiggre!rfn - caught/quarantined/deleted by Win7 MSE - and suspect that is the root of the above evil. New scans by MSE, RogueKiller and Malwarebytes show no further signs of it but evidently serious damage has already been done.
