[SOLVED] Unable to Install System Update KB5030300 Windows 10 Pro

Hello,

I attempted to install the System Update KB5030300 and it initially said it was completed. However upon restart it said the update could not be installed with error code 0x80073701 listed.

The system is no longer able to install programs or run most programs, an error pops up that says the side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Other windows operations like opening device manager no longer work.

I was able to complete the Windows Update Forum Posting Instructions. Please see attached files.

A system restore was able to rollback the system to a functional state. Will open a new thread if more issues arise.
