Unable to install Realtek HD Audio driver (Error Code: 0x00000002)

My motherboard is ASUS P8P67-M Pro. The manufacturer doesn't mention any drivers for Windows 10 x64 on their website as you can see here: P8P67-M PRO | Motherboards | ASUS Global
I tried to use Windows 8.1 x64 drivers, Windows 8 x64 drivers and Windows 7 x64 drivers. None of them worked. I even tried to download drivers directly from Realtek website, it didn't work as well.
I am pretty sure the drivers should be fine and work, but I think there is a problem with my operating system. I remember in the past I tried to install printer drivers and I had issues as well (while it worked fine on another PC, only this PC had issues installing the driver) and I also have problem installing the new feature update (Windows 1703), it always ends up with an error, so I can't update to this version as well.

I don't know what to do and I was thinking about re-installing windows, but it is very time consuming for me and I prefer a short solution to resolve this.

Is there any chance someone has any idea how to resolve this problem?

It won't install the Realtek driver, but if you use

1. Control Panel and
2. type in Troubleshooting,
3. you can then click View all
4. then click on Playing Audio to follow some instructions that result in having Microsoft install its generic drivers and get your audio working.

BIOS is already in its latest version. (3701)

Go to Realtek - High Definition Audio Codecs - webpage (click), tick the checkbox "accept" and click the "next" button.
Click "global" on the same row of "64bits Vista, Windows7, Windows8, Windows8.1, Windows10 Driver only (Executable file)".
Save the file, wait till it finishes to be downloaded, then run it.
It should uninstall the current driver installed on your system, then you should reboot, then it should install the new driver on your system, then you should reboot.

I see you have multiple devices with drivers not installed.
Kindly download Snappy Driver Installer Origin and update whatever it finds. Make sure you create a resotre point before you start.

What is listed under "sound, video and game controllers" in Device Manager?

That is where I would expect to find the listed audio driver.

Perhaps if audio is unrecognizable (unknown device), it dumped it into "Other Devices".

EDIT: Is this the Realtek driver that you tried to install?

Click on --> Realtek - to get to Realtek driver site

Then click on "High Definition Audio Codecs (Software)"

Agree to terms screen appears - select YES.

Click on "Global" to the right of -

64bits Vista, Windows7, Windows8, Windows8.1, Windows10 Driver only (Executable file)
