Hello, I am new to the forum and am seeking assistance with IE11 not installing on Windows Server 2008 R2.
I have managed to track down the issue to one dll so far by running dism against the IE11-neutral.Extracted.cab file in the IE11 temp directory. It would not install and the following error snippet was left in the CBS log:
x86_microsoft-windows-ie-iecompat_31bf3856ad364e35_8.0.7601.21789_none_bdf42a481f80149c\iecompat.dll [HRESULT = 0x80070002 - ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND]
I had attempted to fix this by taking ownership of winsxs and adding the folder manually using a good 2008 R2 server of mine as a surogate, but i still get the same error.
I ran SFCFix and it completed within a minute and found no errors.
The CBS Log can be found here: https://dell.box.com/s/k8u5g4bs178msj5e7n6suu4jqqa9aw8j
Thank you in advance for any assistance offered.
