[SOLVED] "turn windows features on or off" is not loading

When I try to open "turn windows features on or off" after displaying "wait" for a couple of seconds, the frame becomes white, but no options appear. I was looking for the answer on many different forums (none of the methods presented there had any effect) until I found SFCFix.exe. It showed me at least that there are some errors/corruptions and suggested to ask on this forum.
