Try following fix: Source: Update to enable TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 as default secure protocols in WinHTTP in Windows - Microsoft Support Easy fixTo add the DefaultSecureProtocols registry subkey automatically, click here. In the File Download dialog box, click Run or Open, and then follow the steps in the easy fix wizard. Click to expand... Report the result.

Windows 7 Pro was successfully upgraded to Windows 10 Pro, and my main (admin) account appears to have been updated intact. The one issue (albeit much less of a concern) is a number of family users cannot login - Windows 10 now prompts for a password for those local users, and none of the three had passwords for Windows 7. After trying multiple password possibilities, I have tabled the issue for now; these users have not touched this PC for at least a few years (although if you do have suggestions in this regard, please let me know!). More importantly: I cannot thank you enough for your help - I most definitely could not have done this without you! Your step-by-step method and detailed instructions - along with your invaluable/obvious expertise - made this entire process interesting and insightful. We will be donating and for whatever it may be worth, I would highly recommend you to others who may need your assistance - Thank You!

If the other users like to have an account again you should be able to create new ones and go from there. Thanks for the donation. Take care.
