I wanted to increase the bass but couldn't find bass boost in the enhancements tab. I am using the latest stable version of Windows 10 - 1903 (64 bit). My drivers are up to date (checked via device manager and window update) Typing realtek hd manager in search bar of start menu doesn't show any results. Therefore, I went to the folder C:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\HDA and clicked on RtkNGUI64.exe. Nothing happened. Ran as administrator, still nothing. Disabled my antivirus, still nothing. Then I clicked on RAVCpl64.exe. and the window that opened doesn't have sound effects option as it should have. What should I do to fix the issue?

On this page towards the bottom I think you want the 109.4MB download (6.0.1.8603). I believe it's the full package of Realtek drivers available at the time while the smaller packages may or may not contain a newer driver for a particular system.

Mine looks like this, for example: edit: To answer your question - that's just a generic Microsoft driver for speakers but I don't think it will be overwritten by the installer. The package I linked should be for the Realtek audio device and include OEM software for audio management. Last edited: Jul 19, 2019

I'd recommend doing a Restart even if it didn't suggest it... just to make sure everything is initialized properly. A system tray icon should appear for the Realtek Audio Manager as well.

It looks like there is a fairly new Realktek audio driver available from the support site for your computer. Have you already tried it?

A archz2 Well-known member Joined May 6, 2019 Posts 77 Jul 19, 2019 #15 I never downloaded the sound driver from the acer website. I let windows update the audio drivers always. I recall the last one was showing in October 2018 in the properties when you pointed out the 'Sounds, video and game controllers node ' path for me. This was the first time I updated the audio drivers separately via an installed package on this machine. The driver on Acer's website is of April 2018, while the one you shared with me is of December 2018. Sharing screenshots...

The driver may or may not be overwritten with the older version but the additional software should include the Realtek Audio Manager.

After restart, the setup automatically began from where it left off and completed the installation. Then it asked me to reboot. I did reboot. I am still facing the same issue. Nothing new has happened. No realtek manager in start menu, neither in system tray. Here's the screenshot from the device manager properties.... Last edited: Jul 20, 2019
