Hello

I have a HP P1102w printer with their drivers installed but when I want to print Windows starts to search for the printer drivers and install some HP-1100 series and those drivers are with yellow triangle. I give click Remove device with error but when I go back to print Windows again to install those drivers with problems.

If anyone knows any solution very grateful in advance.

Best regards.

What happens if you don't try to remove the device, but try to print again? Are your ink levels good?

The Green check mark means that device is set as the default device so it is not clear why it would be looking for more drivers. You may have to disconnect the printer, then totally uninstall the drivers, reboot, and start the installation again as if a brand new printer.

Hello.
Uninstalling the printer and all its drivers, rebooted the computer went back to connect the printer I turned it on and Windows began to install the drivers automatically including drivers with the yellow triangle.
Thanks a lot.
Best regards.

And now what happens if you try to print? Can you right click on the device with the green arrow and print a test page?

And the answer to my first question?

What happens if you try to print a Word or some other document?

And is this the only printer attached to your computer and/or your network?

I am afraid I am at a loss here. You might try going to this page and let HP scan your system to make sure the drivers are updated. If given the option to install extra software, I would skip that - you only need the right drivers.

When I turn on the printer without any installed drivers Windows Start searching preconfigured driver folders and Windows Update automatically. Before me appeared as drive E: printer and from there installed it and never had problems. I have attached an image that installs Windows. Try installing the drivers from the HP website full package but Windows reinstalls the device with yellow triangle.
Thanks a lot.
Best regards.

I already have the solution. Go to start, computer, c drive, program files or program files x86, HP, printer name, util, siutility.exe, printer or PC - select printer,HP smart install utility, click disable.

Wow, that is pretty odd, but I am glad it works. You probably could have just started that program and changed the options to not run at Windows start. It might have even been listed in the Start Menu Startup folder from where that shortcut could have been deleted. Either way, clearly, if all works now, that program is not needed. Stuff like that is actually why I said in my last post to skip any extra software HP might want you to download with the driver. I suspect when you first installed this printer, you installed the necessary drivers from the installation disk that came with the printer. I never - as in NEVER EVER do that just because they (printer makers in particular - not just HP) always want to foist a bunch of extras we just don't need, like that HP Smart Install Utility. I note I have an HP PS 7525 and I don't even have an HP folder under Program Files or Program Files (x86) on my drive. I went out to HP when I bought the printer and downloaded and installed the drivers only file.

Any way - that was a learning experience - always a good thing. I am glad you got it sorted out and thanks so much for coming back and posting the solution! :) I will mark this thread Solved as requested.
