Hi Taka,

Is the computer just freezing and getting stuck at whatever you were doing, or are you getting blue screens when the crashes occur? There aren't any dump files for us to analyze, ensure you have dump file generation enabled (automatic, small, or kernel), and follow the steps in the Driver Verifier thread to help narrow down the cause.

I'm not even getting BSOD just the system hangs it seems to happen most when i'm installing something or on the odd youtube vid, i did get bsod but that was fix not to long ago. This didn't start till i did the free upgrade to win 10 and at the start it happen maybe once a week if that but in the past few weeks it happens numerous times a day. I do have it set to spit out dump files, but i never see one once i restart the system.

Just got a bsod, went to mess with my vpn slight pause then crash.

The first one is an odd one, the bugcheck was E2, a manually initiated crash. I've never done analysis for an E2 before, but I would assume you need the full MEMORY.DMP, not just a minidump. I believe this is done by holding right CTRL and pressing Scroll Lock two times. If any other analysts would like to take a look, their input would be appreciated.

The latter two where you were using your VPN, they're both Verifier enabled dumps that blame, well... your VPN. Have you noticed at all if the crashes are occurring when you're still connected to VPN? Did you try doing any installations when using Verifier?

I've had one crash while using the vpn,now that i think about it i was gonna install something at the time.

I hope i set this right, i use the input you said and got a full MEMORY.DMP this is above my head so i'm all sorts of lost. I couldnt upload the file here so i hope it's ok to post a mediafire link.

It's been awhile since i had access to my pc, the issue hasn't gotten worse but i still have no solution to the crashes,my ram,hdd and cpu are fine i'm kinda at my wits end with this thing.

Hi Taka. :-)

I can't find any information about your RAM sticks.
There's a newer bios for your MB: Version 1701 2014/10/24.
Although it seems now you are using the latest version of SoftEther VPN 4.21 Build 9613 Beta (April 24, 2016), windbg says the driver it's from 4.19 Build 9599 Beta (well, it doesn't show the version but it shows the date).
Maybe it could be worth to totally remove that vpn client, then reinstalling it again (if you need it).

I never thought about updating my bios, mostly out of fear i would mess something up, if i could be a bit cheeky here mind posting a link to the update. Also i ran a ram test and it seemed to hang for long time, in fact it was over an hour which makes me think now my ram is the big issue i need to buy more ram anyway (8 is not enough anymore) so that will be fixed regardless.

Ok i have no exp when it comes to using rom files, how do i go about using it to update i bios?

Before doing the bios update:
- did you make/create a complete system image (a full backup of your system) and save a copy of your important files?
- did you try to reinstall the vpn software?
- what's your ram manufacturer and model?
- did you set the ram sticks in 2nd and 4th slots (of your motherboard, start counting from the cpu)?

For the bios update: I would use the Q-flash utility (click), I will not do it inside windows.
I think you can also create a backup for your current bios version, and I would also do that.
If you think it is too risky, the bios update is not mandatory (that's your machine, not mine): the choice is yours.

I did go back and uninstalled/reinstalled my vpn still getting that didn't help, i only have 2 ram slots as for the model the info from cpu-z is -STT 4096 MB (DDR3-1337) - XMP 1.2 - P/N: SUPERTALENT02.

Just for the hell of it i thought i'd run a memory test, but the test go 30% done and stopped responding i let it sit for over 2 hrs and nothing, so I'm guessing that's not good.

Just to add i never had any issues like this before win 10, the worst idea i ever had was going to win 10.
