Short version of the last couple of days:
Most (all?) of my system32 programs have Side-by-Side errors. I've tried the following:
Now my problem arises: When I run sxstrace (from elevated cmd) with the parse command, it doesn't parse. I just get the help screen, as if I had used -?. I've tried a few restarts and triple checked what I typed out, but no luck.
Any ideas?
Most (all?) of my system32 programs have Side-by-Side errors. I've tried the following:
- uninstall and reinstall vc++ (all of them, in ascending order)
- Uninstalling KBxxxxxx associated with these errors
- Restoring Windows to a restore point
- Various virus, malware, 'fix' programs (only ones with reputable reviews, and no registry 'fixers')
- Tried clean Windows start, but can't because msconfig spits out sxs error.
- Tried to install SURT, but it also gives an sxs error.
- Created .etl file with sxstrace.
