Hi

A while back i was trying to install Coel video suite but gave up as I could not install due to the same error.
Today i tried to install Cyberlink powerdirector only to get the same errors.

This time however the program generated its own output about the error which I hope to share here.

I'd be most greatful for some help as at the moment I can not install anythingView attachment CyberLink PowerDirector 13.0.zipcantinstallcyber.jpg new, even itunes update had the same issue and the only way around was to use system restore to get back the old version.

As an update, event viewer shows the same problem as before.

Who ever sorts this will be a hero, there seem to be loads of us with it.

Here is a list of the MS Vis that are installed.

Things I have tried that did not work.

Remove MS Visuals and reinstall fresh.

Nope, was unable to install any of them due to the same error and had to use restore point to get back to where I am, which is for the record an otherwise stable busy home system.

Various MS Mr Fixits, none of these helped.

Safe mode install = same issue.

Here then is the full event viewer output.

I also found this and wondered if it related?

I really hope someone can help me sort this as I badly need to update some software and can’t because of it.

Kind regards

Error 1935 has been seen before -- too many times & has eluded me any times.

Have you tried:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/902330

Info on 1935 (2908) - MSDN Blogs -- oldie, but goodie

HP Single-Function and Multi-Function Printers - Fatal Error 'Error 1935. Fatal error during installation.' (MSI Error 1935) Displays During HP Software Installation | HP®*Support -- follow that with a grain of salt

Also - Open the System Maintenance troubleshooter

Hi

Oops sorry, I found a fix for this that is described here.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KR9UfftGA6w

Thought I'd posted an update but have been dealing with multiple forums to try and find a fix, even with a top MS Tech!
But in the end I discovered the issue following up on the 'path not found' error.

This also fixed my inability to install iTunes updates and like you say a printer.

Did it have anything to do with the ampersand & in your username?

The Youtube vid says he got an "access denied" error.

If so, I would have expected to the the Exception Error code 0xc0000005 = "memory access violation", but can also mean "access denied" -- somewhere in that mess of crash data.

"Tweaking.com" - :eek::eek:

Excuse me.... feeling sick about now.....

Did it all work for you & continues to work, even the "tweaking.com" used to change file perms (takeow + icacls I assume)?

You gotta do what you gotta do... I know that much.

Ah sorry if this is something you disapprove of.
What I am is determined I am not a tech so needed to use tools that could do the job.
I have had no ill effects, everything installs just fine now.
Only concern i had was resetting privileges to prevent virus issues, however having taken a sample of other Win 7 64bit installs it seems permissions should not have been restricted for admin and system as they were.
Sorry if I have done things in a crude way.

Hi Mike. . .

Ah sorry if this is something you disapprove of.

I don't disapprove at all. My apologies for a bad joke.

Sorry if I have done things in a crude way.

Not at all done in a crude way. We all have our methods of troubleshooting & fixing things.

Your way worked -- that is all that is important.

I am having the exact same issue but from slightly different versions of software, CyberLink PowerDirector 14

And I am using different windows version, Windows 8.1
I did watch your video Error 1935 can't install MS Visual C++ packages HRESULT:x8:p3 - YouTube for the solution but you are on windows 7...
Will the solution works for me? Is there any different steps for me to do the repairing?
And what if mine fails?
Can u give me steps to do a system restore point and registry backup just in case...
PLS PLS PLS~
