    Spcusrh.png
    Run as Administrator
  • On Windows 8, drag your cursor in the bottom-left corner, and right-click on the metro menu preview, then select Command Prompt (Admin);
  • On Windows 8.1, right click on the Windows logo in the bottom-left corner and select Command Prompt (Admin);

  • A file called cbs.txt will have appeared on your Desktop. Upload the file on Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive and post the download URL for it here;
Note: Please note that the CBS.log is volatile, which means that if you don't upload it after the SFC scan is completed, it won't contains the information from the scan anymore. So archive it and upload it as soon as you can.

Ok I have no idea what my dropbox is or even how to use any of those that I setup a while back. I am a Telecom cable installer by practice(lol) I have a mytiwt and a spacer and icr and all those social media things I never use <LOL> I used to write a pretty mean Qbasic program in the day but i will add it to my web server which I know how to do that. http://www.owentechnologysolutions.com/SFC/Cbs.txt

All good. As long as you can upload the log and I can access it, I have no complains :) You need to restart your computer to complete the repair. Once done, follow the instructions below please.

Ok that seems to have been a great thing. I was able to get MS Essentials working and updated, Printers are back and I can add as of this writing. I ran that update tool you wanted me to run and it took a bit to complete and it did will re read and see what file you wanted from that and send it. That Windows Repair All-In-One tool was pretty slick.

SURT didn't return anything, which is fine. It seems that Windows Repair AIO solved a lot of your issues, is there any other that needs to be taken care of now?

Yes seems to have gotten more straightened out. I do have lots of things running in the back ground but seems like a few are loosing their minds.

Will start out fairly quick but then slows down to a crawl usually if I am not using it but have left open programs like mail and fire fox and chrome. Like a memory leak of some type. Some times ending a program will not end it and have to task manager and force it or even do a reboot to get things to work wonder what is causing the slow to a stand still condition.......

Have a desktop that has not been used for anything and trying to get the win 10 to go past the initial scan takes forever want to test before i add it to this laptop.

Ideas??????
thanks

The three attributes above indicates me that your hard drive is currently on the road to failure. We cannot tell exactly when a hard drive will fail in that state, it can be in years, like it can be months or just a few days. What you need to do right now is to back-up all your personal data that you want to keep, and start looking at a new hard drive to buy to replace your current one, since it is not safe to use anymore.
