Are all of your drivers, especially the sound drivers, up to date? By your description this event only occurs in certain situations? Do you lose sound if you are listening to music, like MP3s or streaming music?

i checked the drivers its up to date nope its not only in music when i open my laptop i cant have sound so i need to shutdown again and the sound will come back..

I understand that when you do a shutdown (or restart) the sound comes back, but does it just stop while you are listening? Does it do this on its own, or are you doing something at the time?
Also when did this start happening? After installing some software, such as a new game, or any type of system cleaning software, such as a registry cleaner, perhaps?
Sorry for all the questions, but this issue needs to be narrowed down as to when and how.

when im using the sound and stop using it after a while when i need to use it even im not turning off the pc the sounds gone..yes its doing on its own sometimes.. i install a game diablo II original copy but it is working when i install the game i only found out recently that there's a problem on my speaker.. i never did install any software so far .. i open my laptop today and no sound on the speaker

Hello ynnavyolac

Next time you have no sound right click on the Sound icon inside the System Tray -> Playback devices -> Can you please post a screen shot of what it looks like?

Also it would be good to have a screenshot of what it looks like when the sound is working, just to compare the two.

Thanks

Hello,

Those screenshots look fine.

Right click on the Start button -> Device Manager -> Sound, Video and Game controllers -> Are there any Yellow exclamation marks?

SFC /SCANNOW
  1. Right click on the
    aa922834-ed43-40f1-8830-d5507badb56c_39.jpg
    button
  2. Click on Command prompt (Admin) => Press Yes on the prompt
  3. Inside the Command Prompt windows copy and paste the following command SFC /SCANNOW
  4. Please wait for this to Finish before continuing with rest of the steps.
Export CBS folder

  1. Right click on the

  2. Click on File Explorer
  3. Double-click on the C: drive, under the Hard Disk Drives category, and then scroll down to, and double click on the Windows folder.
  4. Find and double click on the Logs folder.
  5. Right-click on the CBS folder, and select Copy.

  7. Right-click on this new folder, and navigate through Send to, and select Compressed (zipped) folder.
  8. A new file, also called CBS (CBS.zip), but this time with a different icon, will be created.
  9. Attach this to your next post please.
Please Note:: if the file is too big to upload to you next please post please upload via Dropbox or ge.tt

the system files look in tact :)

When you loose the sound again please do the following:

Please go Here and download the Audio Troubleshooter -> Select the option to Download and not run now.

Once the detection has finished please map to %Temp%\MATS-Temp\Results -> add the CAB file to a zip file then attach to your next post

another problem with my laptop maybe this was connected to my sound problem today a white vertical lines appear in the middle of my screen ( one line ) im using dell inspiron 3521 i5 ... what should i do with this white line?

theres no Audio Troubleshooter in download option ... the words say We're sorry, but your operating system is not supported by Microsoft Fix it at this time.
