Anyone want to take a stab at explaining these numbers....I know what they all mean, I have just never seen anything like this on a working machine....I mean come on! over 8 trillion Reallocated sectors?....42 trillion pending reallocation's....isn't that like half the drive?

Pretty good for a 45yo HDD, Deek.
That's just how long it's been powered on - it could be much older! ;)

Clearly, there's something wrong with the smart data on the disk, or with Defraggler's interpretation of it.

Passmark's DiskCheckup is also good for checking this, and it is free for home, non-commercial use.

Same data in Hard disk sentinel...I'm going to have to caulk this one up to a firmware bug on the HDD....there is no way those numbers can be right

A previous series to that model, MP*, I think, 10-30GB PATA, were awful, most died around the 11-13 month mark; if you were lucky and the model was still under warranty (they changed the prefix frequently!), there was a firmware 'fix' that lasted long enough to get data off it and little more - if you were unlucky and late to get the firmware - it was no longer available on the main Tosh. site, though sometimes it was still on the Tosh. Canada site a little longer. The Intel DeathStar was around the same time, it wasn't a good time for HDD makers.
