Hi,
Sending 1 attachment. The perfmon did not work last time does not work this time, I get an error message that the administrator does not allow this...
I asked my wife - in case the computer is making the mistake based on appearance :shame2: and thinks she is the administrator - but she claimed innocence max.

This is how far I have gotten: (hold on fast...)

First thing: Battery. I remembered never seeing a battery when putting the rig together, I confirmed that by checking.
So then I googled it. Tom's hardware said, well don't look, because this board does not have a battery!!! You have to push clear CMOS. Just to show I am not alone... :r1:
But I could not for my life imagine how that could be, so kept searching. Looking at some pictures I eventually spotted it sitting on its edge under my sound board and CPU cooler, sort of.
Managed to take it out with a pair of very long pliers, then dropped it, so I had to take my best guess for the orientation. Have not tested yet by unplugging computer and then going into BIOS.
What I can tell however, that out of curiosity I immediately gravitated to a volt meter, and the old battery was a perfect 3. The rig is 1 years old. SO, I am perplexed in more then one ways: I would have expected 0, or a little less then 3. Oh, and of course perplexed why you got no proper time stamps? Could it be reversed orientation all this time? That would be stretching imagination.
Anyway, left the computer for a while, it could not shut down again, but I only got the purple send Microsoft a something went wrong report, not a full blue.

So next went to check CPU overclocking you suspected. As a side note I never overclocked anything except wanted the memory to run nominal value...
So how do you check the frequency short of sending it to you? I am tired of downloading stuff. Then one site mentioned CPU-Z and suddenly I remembered I had that. It shows my core speed as 1199.72 MHz. I believe this is meaningless but I do not know any better. Again perplexed where that 4.5 value came from.

So next I went to enthusiastically download iaStoreB.sys from your link. That link offers two things:
to download the Intel update utility and letter i search or a word search.
The update utility I was real proud to uninstall some time ago (after it had found nothing to download) because it was causing BSOD on its own and was widely mentioned on the Internet as doing that. I think since then I have had no ntoskrnl.exe BSOD.
The search by letter I - and by entering iastorB both has brought up "file not found".
I can see from my downloaded programs folder that I was trying many different ways to download this but I do not see the file mentioned per se. Just downloaded every chip and RTS and whatever driver package you could think of, - pardon - I could think of.

Since Webroot checked their own logs, I would leave that until I was able to change the memory.

So how am I doing? :banghead: George

I am not a hardware expert by any means and reported certain hardware related items to you but don't have an answer on how to necessarily fix them.

CMOS came to mind because of the file timestamps. What does your system clock read -- is it accurate?

As for the over-clocking, it was the dump files that reported the over-clocking. I do know that certain BIOS' allow you to set the clock speed. The dumps say the max processor clock speed is 3500. Yours has read 3700 & 4250.

I honestly don't know much about Intel Storage drivers, just that several of your dumps listed it as the probable cause.
