Hi Everyone,

after reading all the issues that might contribute to high DPC latency in this forum and others, and not being able to solve my own latency issues, I thought it might be a good idea to start building a system from scratch according to some lucky dudes' specs who have very low DPC readings on this forum.
So please post here your specs as detailed as possible.

Your shopping lists (Windows 10 64bit) are highly appreciated. Some of poor dudes like myself would like to do more music and less system trouble shooting and chasing ghosts.

Many thanks

I think the biggest turnaround in the audio/video stuttering (and latency/interrupt/pagefault issues) was from forum visitor BestLux, who moved to a MSI Z170 board from his ASUS Z170 board. Calcifer just visited us again, and mentioned his success with employing an SSD drive or two. I think each of their threads include their system specs.

Good luck!

From memory, there have been at least 3 reviewers/sites that have tested and published motherboard DPC latency stats over the last 2/3 years, unfortunately one of them, Hexus.net, seems to have stopped this recently. I'll try to find the time to seek the other 2 out later and report back.

A quick update:

I've pinged Hexus to ask if they'll reinstate DPC testing (August of 2015 seems to be the last time they published it).

HardOCP includes it in their reviews, they might include extra comments/stats with supplied software/utilities installed as well, suggested search string: "DPC latency" +"motherboard review" +170 site:www.hardocp.com The DPC info is usually on the review's Subsystem testing page.

AnandTech also has it, usually on the System Performance page with a comparison graph, search string: "DPC latency" +"motherboard review" +170 site:www.anandtech.com Example graph: http://images.anandtech.com/graphs/graph10294/DPC.png
