I was just subtitling some videos as usual when the left headphone on my Sennheiser died. There's no sound coming out at all. Tried both wired and wireless, nothing, tried on my smartphone and laptop, no results :(. This is horrible. I'm leaving in three days and it's extremely important that I have a functional pair of headphones. Can these be salvaged?

If it's not working on both wired and wireless, either the driver is dead (unlikely) or one of the internal wires in the headband is broken so signal is only being sent to one driver.

Unfortunately there's very little you can do without opening up the headphones. You'll likely be able to find advice on that by looking through the headfi forums Headphone Reviews and Discussion - Head-Fi.org

Tbh though, opening them up would likely void any warranty you have so if you open them and can't fix them, it's possible Sennheiser wouldn't honour the warranty.

In that case, have a browse through head-fi and see if you can find how to open the earcups. What you can repair yourself will really depend how handy you are with a soldering iron tbh...

Definitely sounds like a bad connection or something inside the headband then. Means the driver is good though, which is good news. It's very unusual for a speaker driver to just break outright like that, much more likely to be a wire or even a bad solder joint somewhere.
