I've had a range of problems on my laptop Windows 8.1 Internet Explorer 11, the main ones being Recover Webpage and Stop Script with a cursor that seems to have a mind of its own at times. I'm constantly waiting for the ads to load before I can do anything. Clean constantly.Tried everything but nothing changed. Finally tried sfc/scannow and was informed that I had a number of corrupted files some of which couldn't be fixed. Hunted around and finally found this site and sfcfix which informed me that I had no corrupted files!
I tried Dism/Online/Cleanup-Image/Restore Health and on screen appeared Image Version 6.3.9600.17031 which meant absolutely nothing to me and that was it. Nothing else happened apart from the cursor blinking.
I'm still stuck with recover webpage and stop script. One other thing. I play a game called Alaskan Solitaire from Mindjolt which is also badly affected. Can't decide whether it's the games site or whether that could be related to the other problems. <<<sigh>>>
I am very much an amateur but will try anything to get my laptop back to some normality.
