I am trying to use SFCFix to fix some corruption that is preventing upgrading to a new build of Windows 10. However, SFCFix just stops with the following:
"Error: 0x800f081f
The source files could not be found.
Use the "Source" option to specify the location of the files that are required to restore the feature. For more information on specifying a source location, see Configure a Windows Repair Source.
The DISM log file can be found at C:\WINDOWS\Logs\DISM\dism.log"
SFCFix never creates a log due to this.
Background of the computer: The computer had a failing HDD, but the OS was imaged to a new replacement HDD. I manually deleted 3 or so corrupt files/folders in the WinSxS dir that were causing DISM to crash (based on the logged errors in CBS.log), which allowed it to get to 100%, but DISM then couldn't automatically download the new files. I found SFCFix and was hoping that it would automatically resolve the issue, but alas, I haven't been able to get it to successfully complete without stopping here. Help would be very much appreciated!
