[SOLVED] SFCFix not able to fix a couple of files (some telemetry .json files)

SFCFix fixed 1 common problem on this PC but can't fix the 2 corrupted files listed in the attached SFCFix.txt.

I've tried to copy these 2 files from another Windows 8.1 PC but SFC still says they're corrupted.

Any ideas?

(This PC faces irregular switching to a temporary user profile (not consistent - on restart the normal user profile will load) - I'm not sure if these 2 corrupted files can be the root cause, but I need to try to fix whatever fault there is to eliminate as much as possible)

Hi greve :)

The two files (utc.app.json and telemetry.ASM-WindowsDefault.json) reported as corrupted are false positives. SFC reports them as corrupted when they aren't. Microsoft is aware of the issue and said that they'll address it in a future update. For more information, read the article below.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3022345

This update contains the following files that are occasionally updated by the Diagnostic Tracking Service:
telemetry.ASM-WindowsDefault.json
utc.app.json
The two files are marked as static files in the update. When an advanced user runs the System File Checker Tool (sfc.exe), the files are unintentionally flagged as corrupted. There is no impact or actual corruption on a device running this update, and a later service update will resolve this issue.

Many thanks for the quick and helpful reply. I need to look elsewhere for the root cause then... ;-)

Yes, these files aren't part of your issue. And no problem you're welcome :)
