My SFC /scannow shows some errors, but SFCFix is crashing on attempt to use it.
What can we do in this case?

Hi,

Step 1. Download
56f31e53c97da-SFCFix.PNG
SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the System File Checker and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
Code:
SFC /Scannow

LOOKS fine, thank you a million.

Have one more Idea, request, window's desired improvement, reverse some unwanted by many changes made to 10 and 11.
Some years now ago there was still option to have like Win7 analog watch and calendar.
Some updates to the system later, this option was removed.
Maybe we can implement this to windows image with DISM back?

This was working some releases ago, but now is not:
How to Get Back the Classic Tray Clock in Windows 10

There are 1000s of people looking for this subject. Many places plenty "I have the same question" and gadget is not an option… for most of us.

Hi,

You're welcome. Glad to here the problem has been resolved.

I don't realy recommend any tweaks, but if you want an analog clock or calender on your desktop you could use this app from the Microsoft Store.

Yes, nobody recommends interfering with MicroSoft...
But if I am right that there was such a part of Windows Image which had this Win7 version of clock. And now it is removed?
There is some info on the web about adding some extras to Windows with help of DISM.
Maybe if the packet is identified, it can be added?
DISM /add-package syntax

Strange but there is SFC showing unrecoverable errors, but logs show nothing close to "error".

1. Can you please explain why your systemdrive has the letter Z:\ assigned?
2. And why you are running commands from Z:\Users\MrT\Desktop instead of %SystemRoot%\system32>

"Z" because it is not forbidden and %SystemRoot%\system32 is in system variables, so there is no need to start anything there directly, CMD can be started anywhere, and it will always start properly.
If you install trough WinNTSetup_x64 you can choose any letter for system you like. There are so far 3 programs/utilities I met in 10+ years that needed "C" drive as all or part of the system.
And all of them were not really "professional" developments.

You do a really great job with this extension to SFC, which is a bit like not fully functional as all coming nowadays from MS and Other involved corporations...
But All Microsoft usage is kind of balance between agree to malfunction, system spyware, comerceware <and > no alternative.
We are terrorized by fact, that there is no other platform, to use by completely graphical UI, as well as ~99% of software is developed for MS and ~30% for other systems.
Most of the users show The Stockholm Syndrome already. ;)
I do not, personally, treat any stupidphone and their "systems" as any of a reasonable alternative either.

OFC not it is Gigabyte, and there are several issues in this brand Motherboard in all the line of chipset.
I am waiting for ASUS MoBo.

Hi,

Great, are there any remaining issues or is everything up and running?
This did not check yet, but you can tell me if there is any error except false report from SFC?

This morning, spent 2 h on reading and searching solution to Events marked as error in Admin log...
I do not want to lose anything from my PC before a switch to better hardware.
So staying very cautious.

I don't see anything special in your logs, so it seems the message of SFC has to due with the MacGyver tweaks....

I will check this, if this patch did not put those packets to my C drive instead of system ROTFL.
But Monday morning busy as hell, need work and plan all week.
So evening :)

BTW, I like your Inspector Clouseau Avatar :)

I am on Computers 40+ years, before XT and AT, and always experimenting, so have some experience and crazy ideas.
Unfortunately, but not so really did never learn coding, so still open mind, not limited to any artificial language.

For hardware issues I would recommend to start a new thread here: Hardware

Crazy ideas are not always a good idea, espacially when it comes to system related components.
