Hi,
I reinstalled windows 7 (on Lattitude E4300 laptop) just last week, because programs (word, explorer) kept coming up 'not responding' also google chrome browser coming up unable to load and generally taking ages. I had run sfc/scannow numerous times and it kept coming up 'windows resource centre found corrupt files, unable to fix some of them. I reinstalled from cd, but when I ran sfc/scannow yesterday I got the same message. I ran sfcFix but this also unable to fix corrupt file.
The CBS.zip is too large to attach, so am attaching the SFCFix.txt and will try to upload the CBS logfiles to your server!
I am very unsavvy computerwise, and have never attempted to use a forum, so my apologies if I am not doing things correctly. Thank you for your patience and help. Regards, Ann.

I ran the sfc /scannow and seem to be back to 'Cannot repair member file [1:28{14} "attrib.exe.mui" . I have no idea if this is even important, or relevant to how my computer is running. I'm pretty much computer klutz, so can you advise me if I should pursue trying to troubleshoot sfc/ scannow 'cannot repair' messages, as it's been weeks now, or should I reinstall windows 7 again (I must have done it wrong the last time)?. I have attached the CBS.txt this time it was accepted in the 'manage attachments'
Thanks alot Go The Power

Hello Anne,

By the way these two files are link together seem to corrupting one when the other one is fixed, I have seen this before with Pretty_Peacock.jpg. Unfortunately when trying to repair it we never had any luck :(

Alex

Hi Alex,
Thanks for spending time on this and for your work.:thumbsup2: Can you advise what the consequences could be if just left as is?
Regards Ann

Hi Ann,

If we just left it as it is, you may not notice any issues.... If these files are called upon by another program or if WU needs them then some errors might occur. But if neither happen you will most likely not notice anything suspicious.
