First time ever porting in a forum so please bear with me if I accidently leave out any necessary information.
This evening I ran SFC /SCANNOW and received an error message about corrupt files that could not be repaired.
I ran SFCFix.exe but it was unable to repair the file.
I do not have the original Win 7 x64 disk as the program was preinstalled on the laptop.
This is the log report generated by SFCFix:

Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
Save any open documents and close all open windows.
On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
SFCFix will now process the script.
Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put tags around the log to break up the text.

Here is the contents of the SFCFix.txt file. I am not sure what you meant by "put tags around the log to break up the text". Please note I manually replaced my name with USERNAME since this post is public.

As you directed I ran SFC /SCANNOW to create the log file for your review. (I typically run this application weekly just to make sure everything is ok). The computer was a little slow so before running the program I restarted my system. Once Windows loaded I ran SFC. After running the program is returned the message "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."
I was surprised so I ran it a second time and again I got "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations." I assume that means that the issue has been resolved though I'm not sure how it resolved itself just by restarting the computer. If you look at the time stamp of my original post from last night you'll note that is was done at 4am. For 6 hours prior to that I had restarted the computer multiple times so this was not the first time however it is the first time the results of the scan reported no errors. Last week was the last time I ran SFC and there were no violations at that time so whatever caused the error message last night happened sometime over the last week. No new software or hardware was installed.
In any event I have attached the CBS.txt file as well as a screen shot of the SCF results just in case there is something in the file you come across that require additional attention.
As soon as I posted my reply I realized that when I dropped the zip file on the SFCFix icon it ran the program - I feel stupid but I haven't been to bed yet so I'll cut myself some slack. Thank you so much - I am exceptionally grateful for how fast you were able to resolve this matter. I do have one final question - would I have been able to resolve the issue myself if I had an original Windows 7 Home disk - retail version not a recovery / preinstalled software disk ? If so do you think it's worth while getting it assuming I can find it online?
Does the specific file that you replaced provide you with any information as to what may have caused it to become corrupted in the first place?
Also, just an FYI, I will definitely be making a donation to support this site. You saved me a lot of time and aggravation and did so in an almost unrealistically short time frame. Just one thing - where do the CC donations get processed. I will be using a prepaid VISA but it says on the card "VALID ONLY IN THE UNITED SATES" so are the cards processed in the US?
