I am running Windows 8.1 Pro x64 and have been experiencing problems. I previously ran sfc /scannow which indicated some corrupt files but could not fix them. I just ran SFCFix, which produced a "total detected corruption count 7" and a "total fixed corruption count 0".

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide in fixing the corrupted files.

CBS.log zip file apparently too big to upload. Will try to follow instructions for larger files.

Regards,
Allan

CBS zip folder has apparently successfully uploaded.

However, I don't see the log added to my thread. What should I do now?

Regards,
Allan

Dragged SFCFix.txt to SFCFix.exe again and all appeared to upload correctly. Command prompt dialog showed 100%. But, I still don't see log file in thread. ???

Okay, I ran SFCFix again. However it ran very quickly, nowhere close to ten minutes. I dragged SFCFixScript.txt to SFCFix.exe. Got all directives completed message.

Problem Solved! I located the offending logo.png file which was corrupted. I was able to find the same logo.png file in another version of the folder. After monkeying around with permissions for some time, I finally could delete the corrupted file and replace it by copying the good file from the other folder. I ran sfc /scannow again and it did not find any corrupt files. I then restored the previous permissions for security reasons.
