Hello Forum members;
I am having a whale of time with my computer. Can someone please help me to navigate my problem. I ran the SFCFix and the output tells me I have corrupt files that were not fixed but I don't seem to see them printed there. I have attached the details below.
View attachment SFCFix-details.txt

I went ahead and ran from the CMD prompt SFC scannow and my results are below.
View attachment sfcdetails from scannow.txt

I have been at this over a week now and cannot get a resolution.

Can someone look at these and let me know what is going on and how I proceed. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Maxine and welcome to Sysnative. Sorry for the delay. Let's try to get you fixed up. Please do the following as I need to collect some more information.

Step#1 - System Update Readiness Tool (SUR)
1. Download and run the following file.
2. When it asks you if you wish to install, please answer yes. Note: It could take 15 minutes or more to run. Please don't cancel.
3. You will get an Installation Complete screen when it's done running.
4. Please post the contents of the log from the following location. C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log
Please Note: if the file is too big to upload to your next post please upload via a service such as Dropbox or One Drive or SendSpace and just provide the link.

It doesn't appear that you did Step#1 properly. As a result you will have to do all the steps again. You want to make sure that you download the file from the link I provided and then drag that zip file over the top of the SFCFix program. When it's done a notepad file should open and that's the one I need you to post the contents of. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like you are doing the following step correctly. Please do the steps exactly. It appears you are simply double-clicking on the SFCFix.exe file. You want to make sure that after you download the SFCFix.zip to your desktop that you take your mouse and drag this file and drop it on top of the SFCFix.exe file. Please let me know if any step is unclear. Thank you.

Brian;
I am not sure where I am going wrong. I download the SFCFIX.zip on a mac computer. It downloads as a folder not a zip at this point. The folder contains 2 files. I Transfer using a USB drive to the windows 7 computer. Transfer to desktop. I drag the folder containing the 2 files on top of the SFCFix.exe and then there is a prompt asking me if I want to open with SFCFix by Niemiro and then the the SFCFix.exe program runs.

What is the reason you can't download the SFCFIX.zip directly from the windows machine?

When it's on the Windows machine it should look like the following.
Capture.JPG

The windows machine is not showing any network connection. That was how I realized there was a problem with the windows computer. Everything was fine one day and the next ..there was this problem of not being able to connect to the internet though I had not done anything to the computer and I was connecting previously. When I first noticed this I did not think there was a virus since I had Norton Loaded on the windows machine and it was up to date. I removed the Norton and ran Kaspersky and found out I had a worm virus. I successfully removed the virus with the Kaspersky removal too.
Ok, I zipped the files and got them to the windows computer and here is the report

Oh, sounds like you may have remnants of a virus. This likely won't bring back your network connection but I can help you with that once we are done.

Do this again please.
