Hi,
happy new year 1st of all. With my computer however it stared no too promising.
SFC /scannow has found various issues. Refer to the attached log file.
I tried to fix on my own but SCIFix does not work:
Welcome to SFCFix by niemiro and sysnative.com.
Checking for updates . . .
Failed to check for updates. This may be due to an internet connection problem
or a temporary availability failure of the update servers. Please ensure that
you are using the latest version of the program before continuing . . .
Windows Update does not work either. It reports: Code 8024000E Unknown Error.
I became aware of these problems because all of a sudden various programms report that dll's could not be started such as:
api-ms-win-downlevel-user32-l1-1-0.dll
This dll for example is also reported in the CBS.log (same as others):
... Could not reproject corrupted file [ml:520{260},l:46{23}]"\??\C:\Windows\System32"\[l:76{38}]"api-ms-win-downlevel-user32-l1-1-0.dll"; source file in store is also corrupted
Any suggestion on what I can do?
Many thanks in advance.
Erik
