Greetings! I have been doing IT Support for a long time and have never been on this site before! I have seen a lot of people with the same issue so I am hoping to get some assistance please.

I am troubleshooting an issue with my Terminal Server and am finding SFC /SCANNOW and DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth are failing. Attached is the CBS.log for your reference. Is it something you can help with? The last time this sort of problem with file corruption happened I had to rebuild the server as it was stopping Outlook and OneDrive from running. Hopefully we can fix it before it gets that bad...

Cheers,

Richard

FYI, the errors in the CBS logs that initially led me to this site were the ones I see at the end of this CBS.log file, which was produced after running sfc /scannow again...

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

Step 1. Download

SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
Code:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

Hi Maxstar,

I ran the script as outlined and have attached the SFCFix.txt file. The DISM completed and then an sfc /scannow found some files to repair and did so, and then the next sfc /scannow ran with no errors! You guys are legends:

I was having problems with various things on the server, and now that this is fixed I can at least discount it as a cause.

Thanks again!

Richard
