When run SFC, SURT and SFCFIX to check for Windows Update error code 80244019 in Win Vista Starter - 32 Bit, although SFC showed no integrity violations (no errors), SURT shows a -- check key to be repaired ...... and recreated value..... Upon restart and again checking SFC and SURT-- SFC again shows no integrity violations but SURT log shows the same lines -- check key to be repaired and recreated values...SFCFIX has nothing to repair.
SFCFIX and SURT logs are attached.
This question is raised merely out of curiosity -- Are the last lines in the last paragraph of SURT log -- -- Checking CoreOS key for repairing corruptions ---- ARE REALLY CORRUPTIONS that need to be repaired ? And if so, then it is not getting repaired as it pops up in logs of SURT whenever run. So can we repair it with an SFC Script?
Secondly, this error in Windows update 80244019 is not allowing a clean reinstall of Win Vista Starter 32 bit to go any further than the SP2 disk. What can be done to completely update Win Vista Starter 32 bit via Win Update?
Please guide.
