Hello, thanks for this forum. I seem to have exhausted my knowledge on fixing a CBS issue. Based on my googling, this seems not uncommon, but unique to each system. I hope you can help and I appreciate the effort. This is my first time here at this forum so I apologize if I leave out anything from the posting guideline.

Background: One of the debug steps for a different issue was to run sfc /scannow. I did and it returned "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them." With that error, I proceeded to try Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth as apparently it can succeed where sfc failed. Well, with that I got Error: 0x800f081f, The source files could not be found.

I tried a manual source off the installation DVD, sxs from another (working) Windows 8.1 machine, and also online source, with no success. I believe I have narrowed the corrupt files down based on cbs.log as it says two detected corruptions and lists the files. sfcfix.exe did not detect any problems. My CBS was too large to attach to the post, so here it is at OneDrive: Microsoft services

Repair failed: Missing replacement payload.

These two files can be ignored and shouldn't cause any problems.

Are you experiencing any problems with Windows Update?

No, I'm not having problems with Windows Update. I thought I read this was the place to post any sfc/dism errors. I apologize if I was mistaken. It's a long story but my issue had to do with the pagefile not being able to be put onto a non-C: drive. The first response to that was "run sfc /scannow" which I did, then I ran into issues in the top post and DISM not working either and so here we are. :-) This may not have anything to do with my original issue, but not being able to complete a sfc scan seemed serious enough to investigate on its own merits. After doing a few hours of googling, I found this forum and thought I'd give it a shot.

This is the right place :)

You can replace those two telemetry files with the original versions from the update and DISM will give a good report (until the files are updated again).
Follow the instructions here if you would like to do that: The Tech Cookbook – Windows 8 update (KB3022345) causing corrupt files

Can you describe your problem with the page file in more detail? Are you getting any error codes?
