I recently had major boot issues on my Windows 10 machine (Build 19042.662).
I was able to fix it after plugging my drive into a 2nd machine and running the
DISM and
SFC commands there (in Safe Mode).
It now boots fine to Windows on the original machine. I ran the
DISM commands again (both on desktop and in safe mode) and it says "no component store corruption" and the '
/restorehealth' command completed 100% successfully.
However, when running
SFC /SCANNOW, I get the message that it found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them - I tried both in desktop and in safe mode as well as clean boot to no avail.
When looking at the CBS.log (or CBS.txt) - I found this message: "
Failed to clear CorruptionDetectedDuringAcr store corrupt flag (slow mode trigger)." Not sure what it means but how do I fix this error of SFC /SCANNOW showing that there are corrupt files. When I check the CBS.log file, there are ZERO (NONE) files that say "cannot repair" etc. - meaning there doesn't seem to be any actual corrupted files(?).
