Hello,

Can someone please tell me how to either fix my problem or tell me what I should do?

My computer blue screened (Windows 8.1), and since then it has been running very slow and my gadgets no longer display on my desktop (using the Windows 7 gadget trick).

Thanks so much.

Hello fraXis and welcome to the forum.

Sorry for the delay in responding to your thread, I have been rather unwell.

SFCFix script

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

  1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
  2. Go to your desktop and right click on the background -> Select New -> Text Document -> Name this file SFCFixScript.txt.
  3. Open up SFCFixScript.txt and copy all of the following text inside the code box below and paste it into SFCFixScript.txt.
    Code:
    Trace::
    amd64_microsoft-windows-timedate-mui-callback_31bf3856ad364e35_6.3.9600.17415_none_e5795e3008d3e7b3
    x86_microsoft-windows-timedate-mui-callback_31bf3856ad364e35_6.3.9600.17415_none_895ac2ac5076767d
  4. Click on File -> Save. Close out of SFCFixScript.txt.
  5. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
  6. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFixScript.txt.
  7. Drag the file SFCFixScript.txt onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  8. SFCFix will now process the script.
  9. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  10. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put [CODE][/CODE] tags around the log to break up the text.

Thanks so much for your help. My problem is fixed now. :dance:

That's good to hear, but the post I provided you wouldn't of actually fixed anything :)

What was strange was when I ran SFCFix the first time it did this repair:

AutoAnalysis::
FIXED: Performed DISM repair on file Amd64\CNBJ2530.DPB of version 6.3.9600.17415.

But then other two *timedate* files failed.

Then the next day after restarting my computer I ran "SFC /ScanNow" and it reported that all my files were fine.

So your post did not actually fix the problem, but I guess SFCFix along with the combination of the reboot somehow fixed the problem.

I just ran SFC /ScanNow again now and all is still good. :-)

Very strange.
