When I use the command sfc /scannow, its LOG says "Protection of Windows resources it found damaged files, but some could not be repaired".
Among other things it says that:

[SR] Cannot verify component files for Avast.VC110.CRT, version 11.0.60610.1, arch amd64, versionScope neutral, pkt {l:8 b:2036b14a11e83e4a}, type [l:5]'win32', manifest is damaged (false)
[SR] Cannot verify component files for Avast.VC140.CRT, version 14.0.25325.0, arch amd64, versionScope neutral, pkt {l:8 b:fcc99ee6193ebbca}, type [l:5]'win32', manifest is damaged (false)
I attached CBS.log.
What can i do?
Thanks for the help

Hello and welcome!

Due to the precise nature of your corruption, you will receive help from a user named Bruce1270. He's one of our senior trainees here who's in his final phase of his studies and needs to gain some real world experience in specific areas of Windows Update. This means that he'll be assisting you, but that I will first need to double check and approve his fixes before he posts them to you. If anything this is a good thing for you because it means that you've got at least two of us watching over your thread, but it will unfortunately add a slight delay between each reply. I hope that you understand and can accept the need for us to train up new members in this way in order to carry on doing what we do here, however, if for any reason you object to this setup, I will happily take on your thread myself.

Thank you very much for your understanding. We'll be with you very shortly.

Hello CarlosE

Welcome to Sysnative. My name is Bruce1270 and I shall be assisting you. Apologies for the delay.

Please do the following.

Export CBS folder

  1. Click the Start button then click Computer.
  2. Double-click on the C: drive, under the Hard Disk Drives category, and then scroll down to, and double click on the Windows folder.
  3. Find and double click on the Logs folder.
  4. Right-click on the CBS folder, and select Copy.
  5. Go back to your Desktop, right-click on it, and select Paste. You should now see a copy of the CBS folder appear on your Desktop called CBS.
  6. Right-click on this new folder, and navigate through Send to, and select Compressed (zipped) folder.
  7. A new file, also called CBS (CBS.zip), but this time with a different icon, will be created.
  8. Attach this to your next post please. If it is too big, please upload to SendSpace and provide the link

Hi CarlosE

Please run SFC Scan again and after it has completed, attach CBS.log.

SFC Scan

  1. Click on the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
  2. When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
  3. When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each

    sfc /scannow

Wait for this to finish before you continue

    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
  4. This will create a file, cbs.txt on your Desktop. Please attach this to your next post.

Thanks

Please do the following

Retrieve Components Hive
  1. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file.
  2. Please copy this file to your desktop.
Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
  3. Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To...Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your desktop.
  4. The file will likely be too large to upload here so please upload to sendspace and just provide the link here.
