Purchased an 850 Evo last week and did a fresh install of Windows 8.1. I also have a 840 Evo as a secondary drive. Noticed some hangups and I did an SFC/SCANNOW command and ended up with this error: Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Note that logging is currently not supported in offline servicing scenarios ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ran DISM/online /cleanup-image /restore health and run into this error: Error: 0x800f0906The source files could not be downloaded. Use the “source” option to specify the location of the files that are required to restore the feature. For more information on specifying a source location, see Configure a Windows Repair Source. The DISM log file can be found at C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have attempted to do a system restore and a system reset. I get the error that the drive is locked. I really would not like to have to reformat because I have ruined an SSD before trying to do a clean install. All cirsu/malaware came back clean. I attempted a startup repair and it "diagnoses PC" Then just restarts. Any way yall could help me out? I just want a smooth running machine that has no errors. CHEERS!!!
