Because I was having troubles with networking and connecting to the internet after using NordVPN software, I ran Tweaking windows repair as shotgun method of repair. It encountered problems, so I ran SFC /scannow, which returned errors of corrupt files. Ran SFCfix next, but had errors there too. Ran DISM as recommended here, but it also encountered errors.

Attached it the CBS log for your analysis. While this is a mission-critical machine, I am not above telling windows 10 to reset/reinstall to fix this issue, even though doing so would require reinstalling and configuring all applications. That would be a tremendous amount of work, so I'm holding my breath while you analyze the CBS log errors for clues.

Thank you

Update: after researching this a bit further, I found that running a few different DISM commands repaired something that was corrupt in the existing Install.wim file. Not entirely sure what symptoms can occur from that, but my machine does seem more predictable compared to the way it was prior to using the DISM commands.
You can see the DISM commands I used on this page:

Use DISM to fix issues SFC can't - gHacks Tech News

I did not have to locate a copy of Install.wim from a win10 iso as suggested in that article or change any Group Policies.

Open CMD as admin, then use these commands in this order.

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
"The command checks the image for the corruption flag and returns its findings to you but does not run repair operations. "

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
"The command scans for component store corruption but does not correct any issues."

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

"The /RestoreHealth parameter runs a scan for corruption and attempts to repair any issues that it finds automatically."

If you don't like doing things from the command line, you could try using DISM++ (free) which is a GUI for DISM here:
