Hi Everyone,

I've run into an issue with SFC and experiencing the same symptoms as a previous user you assisted back in 2014:

sfc /scannow : corrupt files found...not all have been fixed

I'm just hoping you may be able to provide me with the same fix as you did for MarkoZ?

Ive read through my CBS log and it appears identical. Though front-facing, my issue is task manager crashing, whilst Markoz's was windows explorer. Still, I'm hoping that this fix will resolve it.

I've ran several full/custom scans on the machine and have found nothing severe, but windows itself was in tatters when I received it from the client (wdf01000 sys file missing, registry damaged, services missing etc.)

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium x64

If you have seen this before or have any advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Rory.

Hi,

Since your CBS log is the same as the other thread - I still have the fix for that on my HDD.

SFCFix Script

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

 1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
 2. Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop.
 3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
 4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
 5. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
 6. SFCFix will now process the script.
 7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
 8. Copy (Ctrl + C) and Paste (Ctrl + V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put

tags around the log to break up the text.
