I have had some odd issues with my desktop. I keep getting the .001 user accounts created. Even though I have completely reinstalled Office and checked the trust center settings numerous times, Outlook refuses to download images in html emails. A few months ago an online repair of Office fixed that, but it broke again a few weeks later. This week the computer started blocking access to lots of apps like msconfig.exe, services, and device manager. I'm now getting the "This app has been blocked for your protection." message box and I am the administrator so it's a bit of an annoyance. My IE won't download or play .wav files anymore suddenly, which causes problems since our phone recording software only lets me login to their software with IE. Strange things are a foot.
I've safe booted and ran process monitor and saved the cbs.log and logfile.pml, they are zipped, but still large at (138Megs,) because I saw that this was recommended to others with similar problems.
I can't seem to get my .zip file to upload, maybe it's too big. Tried it 3 times. Here is a link to download it.
