SFC /SCANNOW and Windows Start Button

Can anybody help or advise, please?

The device, \Device\Harddisk0\DR0, has a bad block.........

I am unable to run sfc /scannow it fails at 40% with - 'Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested action'

I have also lost the Windows Start button, the right click works fine not the left click.

Any help or advice is most appreciated.
