Hi, have read on this tremendous forum of corruption to these file caused by windows updates. However, I have had problems... freezes and reports of credential verification difficulties for many months, maybe since originally fresh install of 8.1 from DVD.
I have two users defined, one using MS live account credentials and one using local account configuration.
I have run SFC and exported [SR] entries to a text file, which is where the corrupt entries became obvious.
I was unsure whether SFCFix version 2.4.3.0 by niemiro would be an appropriate fix route so thought I would register and put it to the community here for specific guidance.
Hope someone has a handle on this specific issue. Attached is the text file from the SFC log.
Many thanks..

Any ideas yet folks? Windows Reports 'Failed to connect to Windows Service' [Group Policy Client Service] on most boots now when logging on to PC as MS Live verified user account.

Those two files can be safely ignored, you could try the instructions here: KB3022345 causing corrupt files

The files might still be reported as corrupt, but they aren't - this is a known issue.

For the group policy client service error message, is there an entry titled GPSvcGroup under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\, and another under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE_\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Svchost\?
