Hello there. I am running windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on computer. I recently recovered my computer from a crash but some windows flies got corrupted in the process.:banghead: This causes my computer to randomly crash programs or have BSODs. The SFC shows it can't fix the files. The CBS.log from my computer is given below. Thanks for your help!

Hello and welcome to forum.

The following files are the ones reported by SFC as corrupt.
Code:
\SystemRoot\WinSxS\amd64_microsoft-windows-s..chrecognizereng.ale_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_en-gb_e3a447542ad2c5da\l2057.ngr
\SystemRoot\WinSxS\x86_microsoft-windows-n..ce_iassdo.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_en-us_e86c80b89a3f77b7\iassdo.dll.mui

Lets get these files repaired.

Strange, the file being detected as corrupt was the one we just fixed.

Code:
2015-01-02 20:25:20, Info CSI 000002eb Hashes for file member \SystemRoot\WinSxS\[COLOR=#008080]x86_microsoft-windows-naturallanguage6_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_9db12a5d8c0f6a9e\NlsLexicons0007.dll[/COLOR] do not match actual file [l:38{19}]"NlsLexicons0007.dll" :
  [COLOR=#FF0000]Found: {l:32 b:paPxIcAI3nSlR4VejgMyZtL8bIXK2v06nZXfzEymWQk=}[/COLOR] [COLOR=#EE82EE]Expected: {l:32 b:h90YHjsUWVba7oRislKSSDO+fM8k9NQDpbTqPU6W8sE=}[/COLOR]

This file highlighted in teal (NlsLexicons0007.dll) we just repaired. What SFC does to check if a file is corrupt is it takes a look at the system file and then generates 'SHA-256 Base' (This is a Secure Hash Algorithm) value of the file, once this is done SFC will then compare the value it generated (of the file in question) and compare it to a value stored within a manifest file. If the values match, SFC moves one. If it doesn't that is when we see this corruption messages that we have been dealing with.

What is strange here is when SFC scanned NlsLexicons0007.dll the hash generated was paPxIcAI3nSlR4VejgMyZtL8bIXK2v06nZXfzEymWQk= (as seen in red), when it was supposed to h90YHjsUWVba7oRislKSSDO+fM8k9NQDpbTqPU6W8sE= (as seen in pink). What I have done is I had a look at the files I sent you and value for NlsLexicons0007.dll matches what SFC would like to see, as SFCFix appears to have successfully replaced the corrupt file, NlsLexicons0007.dll should have the correct hash of h90YHjsUWVba7oRislKSSDO+fM8k9NQDpbTqPU6W8sE=.

Having a look at the rest of the log I can not see any clear indicators as to changes made to this file. Lets try and run the same fix again and we will see if the file replaces correctly this time.

Hi Alex! I retried the sfcfix.zip. The SFC scan shows that it did not find any integrity violations. Is that good news? :-)

Good news is we have not fixed this one yet.
Code:

I will be completely honest here, I think it may be best just to do a repair install of Windows here. We seem to be just going in circles. I am happy to keep providing these files to you, but we seem to be stuck in an endless loop.
