Hopefully someone can help or point me in the right direction. It would be much appreicated.

I am having a lot of problems with Windows 7 Ultimate not booting correctly and running through the repair process at each boot. Also experienceing occasional BSOD because of GPU issues. I recently had to replace the motherboard and all sorts of windows madness has ensued.

Hi zcomputerwiz,

I can now reboot confidently with out issue but I am still getting alternating "inconsistent" corrupt files being reported by sfc /scannow. First time I ran it, it reported could not repair, then re-ran and it repaired them. Run it agian and it reports corrupt files, cannot repair. Run it again and it repairs reported corrupt fields.

Regards,
Ian

Good. SURT didn't detect any other registry problems.

Let's find out which files SFC is detecting.

SFC Scan

  1. Click on the Start
    Start%20Orb.jpg
button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
  2. When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
  3. When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each

    sfc /scannow

Wait for this to finish before you continue

    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log %userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt

  4. This will create a file, cbs.txt on your Desktop. Please zip and attach this to your next post.

I think this may be a conflict between KB2952664 (6.1.7601.18868) and KB3121461 (6.1.7601.19105).

Please check if they are both installed. If so, first uninstall KB3121461, then KB2952664.
Once both are uninstalled, restart and check for Windows Updates, then install any that are offered.

Hi,
I did as requested. KB3121461 was re-installed.KB2952664 was not offered. No change to alternating SFC result. The new log is 32mb so I can't attach.
