Hi,

Out of interest, have you ever run a System Cleaner/Optimiser on this machine - such as Advanced System Care? The corruptions on your system aren't really corruptions in the true sense of the word, but they are actually missing files. These missing files are almost all sample image, video or music files, and system cleaners often delete these.

I'll fix this, I just would like to know first

Hello Stephen,

Mostly i have used CCleaner and WiseCare 365 the paid version (almost 2 years). I find out because i installed a program called PopArtStudio 6.5 but it would't install again after i used it for 2 years, the same program,. the same license, but i haven't the right to install (something about admin rights) that was strange and the first thing for me to do was sfc/scannow and there where the errors in CBT log. But it was out of my reaches to read that logfile, i am 62 and this time i was defeated by Windows.

WiseCare365 will be the culprit of these corruptions then - I recommend you stop using it because they can be (as you've found out) a cause of corruptions. CCleaner is generally a safe option, just be sure to make a backup of your registry if you use the Registry cleaning function.

The SFC log is pretty messy where it did some work, so can you do the following for me:

SFC Scan

  1. Click on the Start
    Start%20Orb.jpg
button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
  2. When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
  3. When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each

    sfc /scannow

Wait for this to finish before you continue

    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log %userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt
  4. This will create a file, cbs.txt on your Desktop. Please attach this to your next post.

SFCFix AutoAnalysis

  1. Download SFCFix.exe and save this to your Desktop.
  2. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
  3. Double click on SFCFix.exe to open it.
  4. Follow all on screen instructions and upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  5. Copy (Ctrl + C) and Paste (Ctrl + V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please.

Regards,
Stephen
