Hello,

I was referred to Sysnative for help repairing SFC errors.

My system has recently been cleared of malware and, amongst a couple of small issues, there are some SFC errors that require attention.

I started running SFCFix on the computer, however, it appears to be hung up at "Stage 8 of Attempting to Repair". I am running this portion without the Windows DVD and am waiting for it to provide the alternate instructions as it mentioned. SFCFix has been running for about 2 hours now, so I am unable to include the logs you need...what should I do now?

Thanks!

Hello and thank you Go To The Power,

Yes, SFCFix finally did complete. It was still running after 4 hours before I had to leave, so I left it running and was welcomed with a completed scan & results..hooray!

Here are the SFCFix & CBS logs you need:

SFCFix version 2.4.1.0 by niemiro.
Start time: 2014-11-24 08:28:48.567

I apologize if the CBS log file did not attach. I think I did it correctly, however, I would not be surprised if it does not come through as the buttons were not as cooperative as I am. When I dragged the file to the box as instructed, I got a box telling me to drag the file to the box or click add files. *sigh* I do have the CBS.zip file ready at hand if you need me to reattach (and would welcome any additional instructions that may ease the process).

I appreciate your patience as I navigate my way through.

Thanks!

We will get that one file repaired first then we will use another method of uploading the CBS folder.

Hi Alex,

Quick question...
I'm following the instructions for SFC /SCANNOW and am unable to find the Command Prompt (Admin) as you instructed. The only button I have on the screen similar to what you are instructing onlu offers me "properties" & "open windows explorer" optionos.

My question: will pressing the windows + r button get me to the same place you are directing me to copy the command?

Thanks!

*NOTE: Alex, I did my best to rename files to keep track of the information to send you, however, it appears the SFCFix.txt automatically writes to that name and may have overwritten the first SFCFix file. My apologies if this is the case.

CBS log looks good, no more errors are being reported :)

My system was recently cleared of malware with the assistance of another forum and, amongst a couple of small issues, they found SFC errors that needed repaired.

If you say there are no other errors being reported and there are no further steps, then I guess our work here is finished.

Thank you for the efficient and expeditious support Alex!
