SFC errors on Windows 8.1 Enterprise

I'm trying to resuscitate an old work cast-off and am seeing a couple of SFC errors: I'm also hoping to use the Media Creation Tool to move this to Windows 10, and wonder if those problems are what is causing that process to fail. The files concerned are the ubiquitous CNBJ2530.DPB, and a wallpaper image that seems to be part of WinSxS for some reason.

As requested, I've attached outputs from SFCFix (which claims to have resolved the problem) and a subsequent run of SFC, which shows it still complaining about the same two files (plus a mass of ownership alerts, which I assume are warnings only?)

Any help would be grateful appreciated!

Cheers,

Jack.

I was able to get over the wallpaper issue too, by searching for the 8.1 wallpaper and copying that into WinSxS. SFC now completes without any errors. Unfortunately, the Windows 10 upgrade process now gets to its final stages (around 75-80%) before, on a reboot, undoing changes and returning the error:

0x8007042B - 0x3000D
The installation failed in the FIRST_BOOT phase with an error during the MIGRATE_DATA operation

Any ideas?

Hi Welcome to Sysnative,

Thank you for posting the solutions that worked for you, for the last part did you remove the AV or executed an In-place Upgrade of Windows 8.1 before the upgrade?
